Saturday (July 25) was a cloudy day but no rain. It was in the forecast, but hubby and I decided to go for a ride on the Skyline Drive. Since obtaining a "lifetime" Senior pass (for only $10), we go more often. {SMILE}
At one overlook, we saw that it was raining down in the Valley. In this shot, you can see the where the rain begins. Shortly after this shot, the weather cleared slightly and then...
we watched the storm clouds come up from the Valley
coming closer...
and closer...
and closer...
and closer
until it poured buckets of gorgeous rain!!! Made for a very interesting trip!

Part of My Valley
The Valley we call home is very beautiful. I found a quote that I though very appropriate for these photos!

This photo was taken about .5 mile north of our home looking west.
"By reading the scriptures I am so renewed that all nature seems renewed around me and with me. The sky seems to be a pure, a cooler blue, the trees a deeper green. The whole world is charged with the glory of God and I feel fire and music under my feet."This shot was taken about half a mile south of our home, looking northeast.
